DragonFly was built by gym owners who got tired of their own doors.
Late-night lockouts. Inconsistent behavior. Systems that failed to communicate with each other and created unnecessary friction for staff and members. When the founders couldn't find a solution built specifically for how gyms actually operate — high traffic, long hours, continuous daily use — they built one.
The Problem With Traditional Systems¶
Traditional access control was designed for corporate offices and enterprise buildings. Gyms are different: members come and go at all hours, staff aren't always at the front desk, and a locked door at 5am costs you a member.
Existing systems made the problem worse:
